Giuseppe Rossi
World-renowned soccer star
Giuseppe Rossi is a celebrated soccer star whose journey from Teaneck, New Jersey, to Europe’s top leagues made him a standout on the global stage. Nicknamed “Pepito” for his sharp, creative play, Rossi became Villarreal’s all-time leading scorer and made his mark at Fiorentina and Manchester United with his goal-scoring finesse and technical skill.
He earned 30 caps for Italy and represented the national team at the 2008 Olympics, where he was the leading goal scorer, and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. In 2020, after a stellar career in Europe, Rossi returned to the U.S. to join Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer.
Off the field, Rossi is equally committed to giving back. He’s supported global causes like the foundation Kick4Life, which uses soccer to addresses social issues in Lesotho, Africa. Locally he has backed initiatives through the Spring Lake Hope Foundation, which helps families of children with rare illnesses in New Jersey.
From hometown hero to international talent, Giuseppe Rossi has left his mark not just in soccer—but in the lives of those he continues to support.
